Harper Farms

Harper Farms & Garden is a fourth generation family farm owned and operated by David Harper. They grow over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables on 85 acres of land using their own compost and manures.  They utilize natural pest control strategies including predator wasps and lady bugs.  Their (and our) favorite item they sell is their very special "Mirai" corn!  They never sell their corn that's more than a day old.  Catch them at Beaver Brook each  Monday! 

Schultz Farm

Flo's Country Farmstand is a section of Schultz Farm and Barnside Cafe.  Located in Rutland, this family-run country store and restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their country store offers a wide variety of  grass feed beef, produce, eggs and more.  Catch them at Beaver Brook on Mondays and Fridays as well as University Park on Saturdays for the best eggs around!

Shivick Farms

This shining face is Fran, aka "The Tomato Lady" of Shivick Farms in Oxford.  Fran is known for her fresh produce and bubbly personality.  Find her at Beaver Brook each Friday with a big smile on her face.

Black Seed Farmers Market

Black Seed Farmers Market is a vendor at our University Park Farmers Market that connects community members of diverse backgrounds with each other, as well as with local farmers, some of whom are recent immigrants and/or refugees in order to foster wellness, belonging, and a supportive local economy around healthy food. 

Sweetwater Farms

Sweetwater farms are a vendor at our University Park and Beaver Brook standing Farmers Markets.

Flats Mentor Farm

The Flats in Lancaster is a one of a kind farm.  Its mission is to  mentor immigrants, refugees, and socially disadvantaged farmers in crop production and marketing so they may build and operate their own sustainable farming enterprises. Currently, The Flats have  farmers from Central and East Africa, Southeast Asia, with over two-thirds being women.  Come support The Flats on Mondays and Fridays at Beaver Brook!

Rice's Roots Farm

This farm stays true to their roots and runs a family-owned and operated farm.  They grow vegetables organically in Central Mass, and have one of best selections of radishes around. They are at Beaver Brook Market on Fridays and have CSA shares from June until October.

Nuestro Huerto Urban Farm

In collaboration with the EAT Center, Nuestro Huerto provides farm space, tools and support for individuals who arrive to America as refugees.  Nuestro Huerto is a safe space for new Americans to grow culturally significant produce and sell them to our mobile market to make some money.  Find diverse produce at a mobile market stop near you!

Valeria Nyonkuru

Valeria is both a vendor at one of our standing markets and the REC YouthGROW Farm Mentor! She works in both greenhouses at WPI and Holy Cross as well as the Oread Street YouthGROW Farm.  Valeria grows culturally diverse crops to bring a special variety of veggies to our markets!  With her extensive background growing food, she's always teaching us new tricks and techniques! Catch her at the REC University Park Farmers Market every Saturday!

Nicewicz Farm

This farm has been around since 1929, bought and operated by Polish immigrants.  Today, their 4 grandsons, David, Alan, Ken and Tommy run the farm.  They are best known for their fruit and corn.  They attend the Beaver Brook Market every Monday and Friday!

Great Harvest Bread Co.

This Newtonville branch of Great Harvest is a "freedom franchise," meaning they get all the amazing recipes with the freedom to do what they'd like with them.  Newtonville Great Harvest is family-run and caters to our community, providing us with healthy and delicious breads.  Their most popular flavors are pepperoni, cinnamon and apple pie.  Fun fact: they mill their own whole wheat flour daily right in the bakery!  Find them at Beaver Brook every Friday.

Oakdale Farms

Oakdale Farm is a 5th generation working vegetable and horticulture farm. The farm practices safe and environmentally friendly farming by using Integrated Pest Management (IPM), producing food for the local community.  They have fresh baked goods, jams, relishes, vinegars, honey, eggs, fruits, vegetables and more. Come enjoy the Pray family every Saturday and the REC University Park Farmers Market!
